The Vocations Service exists to help those who feel they may be called to the priesthood. We offer support and confidential advice, the possibility of meeting with others who feel called, and guidance and encouragement as you try to discern your vocation.
Contacting the Vocations Service does not mean that your mind is already made up! We are here to help you think through God’s plan for you.
For those who are sure that God is calling them to priesthood, the Vocations Director acts on behalf of the Church. It is his role to discern on behalf of the Church if a calling may be genuine. If so, he then guides the candidate through the process of making a formal application to the priesthood, and through the years of formation which follow if the application is successful.
If you feel called to the permanent diaconate or the religious life you may also contact the Vocations Service, who will help you to find the right person to speak to.
